San Severino Marche
San Severino Marche is the beating heart of the Museum Network and one of the most charming art towns in the Marche region. Here, history isn’t just told in museums—it still lives on in the town squares, narrow streets, and panoramic views that surround the town.
Founded as the Roman Septempeda, San Severino preserves traces of every era within its borders: from the Archaeological Park, which reveals its ancient origins, to the great Renaissance artistic period that gave it its most refined character. Strolling through its Piazza del Popolo, one of the most elegant squares in Italy, is like stepping into a painting.
The city’s museum circuit includes the “G. Moretti” Archaeological Museum, which takes visitors on a journey through time from prehistoric civilizations to the Middle Ages; the Tacchi Venturi Civic Art Gallery, featuring masterpieces by Paolo Veneziano and the Salimbeni brothers; and the MusET — the Museum of Electricity and the Territory, where history, science, and industrial heritage come together in a narrative of energy and ingenuity.
San Severino is a place that stirs the soul with its harmony—its ability to blend beauty with everyday life, culture with hospitality. It is a city that has not forgotten its past, but transforms it every day into a promise for the future.
